Developing a Protocol for a Review (2 day workshop) - Oxford, UK

This two day workshop is run by the UK Cochrane Centre Training Team. It will take place on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 January 2010 and places are limited to authors of Cochrane Review Groups (CRGs) who have registered a review title.

This workshop is designed for authors who are working on, or plannig to start work on a protocol. It is designed to provide an introduction to the processes of systematic review production. The aim at the end of the two days is that authors will have identified key components of their protocol and begun to prepare a RevMan version.

The workshop will include:

• Small group discussions - participants have the opportunity to discuss their own protocol.
• RevMan - how to get started, detailed information on how to use it, a hands on session.
• Searching.
• Eligibility methods.
• Critical appraisal of a review.
